Colwith Farm Distillery
Aval Dor Cornish Seaberry Vodka
Aval Dor Cornish Seaberry Vodka:
Plough to bottle our vodka comes from Cornwall's first plough to bottle distillery, delicately produced from scratch at a 5th generation Cornish family farm.
Seaberry (also known as Sea Buckthorn) has a uniquely tart, bittersweet and aromatic flavour profile, making this a wonderful cocktail ingredient for any mixologist.
When we learnt our agronomist was planting Cornwall’s first sea buck plantation in neighbouring Lostwithiel, we could not wait to trial these delicious little berries in our spirits.
Four years since planting and the sea buckthorn trees are bearing their inaugural fruit.
The delicious little berries are picked within two miles of the distillery, juiced then pitched into our award-winning potato vodka, Aval Dor, we then wait.
When our Head Distiller says the time is right, the seaberry vodka is fine filtered and hand bottled in small batches.
